St. Gabriel’s Church and Monastery

History is a lot closer than you think at The Overlook. Our brand-new apartment community is the stunning transformation of the St. Gabriel’s Church and Monastery. Originally built in 1909, this Boston landmark has found new life over a century later as our inviting community.

From original stained glass to the cathedral ceiling, you’ll find historic charm and design everywhere you look. These meticulously restored and re-imagined buildings now offer an unmatched living experience in Brighton.

Metropolitan Waterworks Museum

Originally a high-service water pumping station, the Metropolitan Waterworks Museum is a unique look at how Boston’s water supply was modernized. Created in 1886 and decommissioned in 1970, this landmark is now a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore one of the country’s first metropolitan water systems through exhibitions and educational programs. See the museum for yourself less than 2 miles away!

Memorial Hall

Standing 190-feet tall at the famous Harvard University, Memorial Hall consists of three parts: Sanders Theatre, Annenberg Hall and Memorial Transept. Completed in 1878, its High Victorian Gothic design is as beautiful as it is historic. You can see Memorial Hall for yourself just over 3 miles away from The Overlook.

Fort Washington Park

Built by soldiers under the orders of George Washington, Fort Washington was created November 1775 and is the oldest surviving fortification from the Revolutionary War. Today, Fort Washington is now a beautiful park that offers a unique look at the past, while you enjoy the fresh air, just over 3 miles from our community.
