The Overlook Residents

Q: Why did you choose to call The Overlook home?

Adam & Sarah: “Because our jaws dropped every time we drove up the driveway!”

Q: What sets The Overlook apart from other apartment communities?

Adam & Sarah: “The staff is friendly, and all the resident lounges have amazing views.”

Q: What was your touring experience like?

Adam & Sarah: “Fast and easy – we knew the buildings were filling up quickly, so we toured as many units as possible, then chose our favorite that same day.”

Q: What’s your favorite Overlook feature or amenity?

Adam & Sarah: “Coming from a brownstone in Brookline, we LOVE the central air, and the fast free Wi-Fi is a great perk.”

Q: What would you tell someone who is thinking about living at The Overlook?

Adam & Sarah: “If you’re looking for a community experience with all the bells and whistles, then this is the place! Let Adam show you around – he’s explored every corner of the complex with his dog, Michael Jackson Pollock!”

Meet Ben Quach, Resident since April 2021

The Overlook Resident

Q: Why did you choose to call The Overlook home?

Ben: “We had a tour of the facilities after looking at the online website and we fell in love with it. We thought it might be all CGI, but everything was even more impressive than it was in three photos.”

Q: What sets The Overlook apart from other apartment communities?

Ben: “I think having the complex in a historic monastery is really unique. I have lived in some historic buildings before in London, UK, but this takes the cake. I love the design of all the buildings and how there are social spaces that facilitate community bonding. I have met a lot of new friends through the events and just being around the complex in Maker’s Hall or at the BBQ or the pool.”

Q: What was your touring experience like?

Ben: “We had a virtual tour, but it was a great experience to see how big the apartments were and how impressive Maker’s Hall was. We also loved that it was a total community space with conference rooms and a gym.”

Q: What’s your favorite Overlook feature or amenity?

Ben: “I think most people that see me or are familiar with me know me from studying in Maker’s Hall. My roommates and I are in an accelerated doctoral program so we’re studying all the time and I love the space in Maker’s Hall and just being able to look up whilst I’m studying to see how grand the space is. It’s also social enough that if I need a break from studying, there’s always someone coming from the gym, playing pool, or grabbing some coffee to have a chat with.”

Q: What would you tell someone who is thinking about living at The Overlook?

Ben: “Go for it. It’s a great community space for young adults that is conducive for work, studying, and social living. I’m very happy I chose to live here”
